Dragonkind dragon types
Read a result as separate labels: the dragon’s color, tail type and individual details. A color alone does not describe the whole dragon.
- Black
- Blue
- Brown
- Green
- Orange
- Red
| Label | What to record | Where to go next |
|---|---|---|
| Color | Black, blue, brown, green, orange or red, as displayed on your result. | Black and blue questions |
| Tail type | Clubtail, Daggertail, Morningstartail, Scorpiontail or Swordtail. Record the complete label separately from the color. | Tail-name comparison |
| Individual details | Name, age, sex and lineage if they appear on your card. | Save a bond record |
All colors and tail types are possible
You have the opportunity to bond across the colors and tail types. That does not mean each label is equally likely or that a particular answer selects it. The color labels above are a reference for reading and recording a result, not a probability chart.
Names from the books can help you recognize the vocabulary, but a new result is your dragon’s record. Do not replace an individual name with a familiar book character just because the color matches.
Seeing a dragon is not the same as bonding
A run can include an encounter without ending in a bond. Keep those two events separate in your attempt notes. If your attempt ends in death, return when the retry wait finishes rather than counting the encounter as a final result.
